Genital Warts (Human Papilloma Virus)
One day I noticed small cluster of raised bumps on my genitals and when I consulted with a Dermatologist (skin specialist), i was told that they are Genital warts caused by HPV (Human Papilloma virus) and also informed me that they are transmitted through being into physical contact with the infected person only and there is no permanent cure for them. Though I had not been into any such activity i went into depression concerning how would I be able to rid of them? and, whether I would be able to live a normal life again?.
The doctor (dermatologist) had told me that the treatment of Genital warts includes applying topical medication on the infected area or getting them removed with Lasers etc. He prescribed me a topical medication viz. Podowart paint, to apply on the infected area. Here, I want to express that it is very difficult to use such topical medication depending on the location of the warts and it burns the skin too. I started applying podowart paint which initially took off the warts but they grew back again after some time. For many months, I got caught into this loop of applying cream, getting skin burns all the time and seeing the warts coming back. It annoyed me put me into the stage where I was unable to think that how to get rid of this disease and live a normal life again.
