Types of Conjunctivitis

- Infectious Conjunctivitis: There are three sub types of Infectious Conjunctivitis:
- Bacterial Conjunctivitis: It is an infection caused by bacteria from skin or even respiratory system can be considered the main cause.
- Viral Conjunctivitis: This is caused by contagious viruses linked to the cold, coughing and sneezing that have sort of respiratory infection.
- Chemical Conjunctivitis: It is caused by polluted air, Chlorine or excess exposure to the chemicals.
Symptoms of Conjunctivitis
- Redness in the white eye part
- Itching eyes
- Blurred eyes
- Burning eyes
- Swelling of eyes
- Watery eyes, thick yellow discharge from the eye.
- Only one eye is affected first but usually it affects both eyes within a few hours.
- Feeling of grit in the eyes i.e feeling of something present in the eyes.
