LMHI Congress 2026

Dr. Vikas Singhal to Present Bone Infection Case Study at LMHI Congress 2026 in Mexico

  • Vikas Singh

Abstract

Chandigarh-based homeopathic physician Dr. Vikas Singhal’s will be presenting his well-documented research: “A Case of Chronic Osteomyelitis Treated with Homeopathy,” at the 79th LMHI World Congress, 2026. This event will be hosted by LMHI in Merida, Mexico, from October 21 to 24. The confirmation arrived directly from the Congress’s Scientific Committee, which reviews thousands of submissions from homeopathic practitioners around the globe. Being invited to orally present a case study in events like this is a huge achievement on its own. It places Dr. Vikas Singhal among a relatively small group of practitioners chosen to address the full congress hall in person.

About LMHI World Congress 2026

The 79th congress of LMHI is being hosted in Mexico, a country with a deep connection to homeopathy. Mexico was the first nation in the world to officially recognize homeopathy through a presidential decree, back on August 10, 1895.

Since then, Mexico has been an origin for the most prominent figures in the field of homeopathy, such as Dr. Higinio G. Pérez, known as the “Apostle of Homeopathy in Mexico,” and Dr. Proceso S. Ortega, known for his work on chronic disease and miasms. Mexico has hosted the LMHI Congress a few times before, in 1929, 1980, 1995, and 2007, so this edition carries the weight of that long tradition.

LMHI stands for Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis, or the International Homeopathic Medical League. It is the oldest and largest umbrella body for homeopathic doctors in the world, founded all the way back in 1925 in Rotterdam by fourteen physicians representing nine countries. Today, it connects licensed homeopathic doctors, researchers, and national homeopathic associations from more than seventy countries. Moreover, it holds a World Congress every year, each time hosted by a different member nation.

Why Mérida?

The host city this year is Mérida, in the state of Yucatán, often nicknamed “La Ciudad Blanca,” or the White City, known for blending centuries of Mayan heritage with colonial architecture and a strong intellectual and cultural life. Delegates will be based at the Fiesta Americana Mérida, the official congress venue, and many are expected to extend their trip to nearby attractions such as Chichén Itzá and the region’s famous cenotes, natural freshwater pools formed in limestone caves.

Theme of this Event

The 79th Congress carries the theme “Homeopathy: Innovative Paradigm.” In simple terms, the organizers want this edition to focus on where homeopathy is headed next, rather than only talking about its historical references.

Also, the academic program is built around a few broad areas:

  • The scientific method as applied to homeopathy
  • From laboratory-style experimentation to clinical research
  • Miasms and diathetic states, the classical idea that certain underlying tendencies shape which diseases a person is prone to
  • Comprehensive clinical practice across specialties
  • The historical role of homeopathy in epidemic diseases

Alongside the main congress, this edition also includes the Pan American Materia Medica Congress and a Gala Dinner on October 23, giving delegates a chance to connect socially as well as academically.

About the Research Paper that Dr. Vikas Singhal Will be Presenting at LHMI Conference

Dr. Singhal’s accepted paper presents a real case of chronic osteomyelitis treated with classical homeopathy. Osteomyelitis is a serious bone infection. It can develop after an injury, surgery, or when an infection from another part of the body reaches the bone. Upon becoming chronic, it can be difficult to manage. Conventional treatment often includes long courses of antibiotics and, in some cases, surgical removal of the bone is suggested. Even after this, the infection can involve recurring episodes, further causing chronic pain & discomfort.

Dr. Singhal’s case study focuses on this type of long-standing bone infection and explains how a personalized homeopathic approach was used in the case. This is also an area he has worked on before. He has previously published a case study on chronic osteomyelitis in the journal Similia. Earlier this year, he was also invited to speak on “Bone Infections & Role of Homeopathy” at the AAAS National Homeopathy Conference in Indore. His acceptance at the LMHI Mérida 2026 Congress continues this work and gives him an opportunity to present it to an international audience.

Why This Recognition Matters

International medical congresses like LMHI’s do not accept a documented case study simply because a doctor wants to attend. Every submission goes through review by a Scientific Committee of experienced homeopathic academicians and clinicians, and only a portion is approved, with an even smaller share earning an oral slot over a poster. For an Indian practitioner to be selected for the oral segment at a global congress of this stature is a meaningful marker of how his clinical documentation is viewed outside the country.

It also reflects something larger for classical homeopathy as a field. Congresses such as this one exist largely to build a stronger, better-documented body of evidence for what homeopathic treatment can and cannot do, especially for conditions conventional medicine finds difficult to manage. Every well-documented case, like the osteomyelitis case being presented in Mérida, adds to a shared body of clinical knowledge that doctors across different countries can reference in their own practice.

What This Means for the Homeopathic Community

For practicing and aspiring homeopathic doctors, students, and researchers following classical homeopathy, events like this serve a purpose beyond one individual’s achievement. They demonstrate younger practitioners what a well-documented, evidence-based case study can eventually lead to: an international platform, peer scrutiny, and a place in the published record of the field. They also give the wider community a reason to look closely at how chronic conditions like bone infections can be effectively managed using classical homeopathy.

As Dr. Vikas Singhal prepares to travel to Mérida this October, his presentation will add an Indian voice and an India-based case record to a congress bringing together homeopathic physicians from more than seventy countries. It is a reminder that classical, individualized homeopathy, when properly documented, continues to find serious consideration on some of the biggest scientific platforms the profession has to offer.
